失望

If we will be quiet and ready enough, we shall find compensation in every disappointment...


After watching the video, I realized that I was not the worst one in the band... Heh... Though it's not something I should be happy about, at least I know I wasn't the ONLY one who ruined the performance... The miking wasn't very good; the sound of my drums weren't amplified, and I thought that was the only problem... During the performance, I felt the music was getting draggy; after watching the video, it was obvious that was caused by the drop in tempo... It isn't very obvious when the video was played normally, but everytime I forwarded I had to checked if I clicked on slow instead... There's a small clip over here with one of the better parts, the cutting wasn't very good as I was using limited resources (Windows Movie Maker)...

Still waiting for my band director to settle the sponsorship matters, then we'll have a keyboard... Obviously, I'll be the one playing that... ;Þ

興奮

Dreams get you into the future and add excitement to the present...


Finally, 1 month holiday... Time to brag about my achievement again, man I'm good... Slept at 4am and woke up at 8am to continue my assignment... My target was to finish every question within an hour, with 9 questions left undone, I had a very tight schedule... I wasn't sure what time the library closes so had to reach there before 5pm, just in case... I don't want to be in a situation where I slogged so hard and unable to hand in cause I can't print it... completed everything alot sooned that I expected, managed to settle everything by 4.30pm... Just in case I forget next time, the photocopy shop closes at 6pm...

Went for band practice after that, and finally got my hands on the video of our performance... Will watch it tomorrow and maybe post a short clip here...

Not much sleep but still feeling energetic... Still, I'll force myself to sleep, gotta stare at this screen for very long tomorrow...

The title of this entry have nothing to do with the entry itself, just liked the sound of it... Haven't updated for 1 week, was busy with my mock exams that finished just yesterday... Now I'm busy doing my assignments again, due date next Monday...

I brought back the tuning key from my band, but realised the problem was not with the string out of tune... It was the hammer that was hitting the wrong place... That, I can't do anything about... Anyone knows how to tighten the hammer?

Just finished my Java, changed a normal Tic-Tac-Toe game into one with 16 squares, and added a counter to keep track of scores... Other than that I would like to make more changes, but can't think of anymore ideas... Suggestions? Would like to show the game here, but I don't know how to load an applet from a different location... Any help appreciated...

Life is but a performance...


Performance's over... Minor problems here and there, but none too big we can't handle... When I get my hands on the video, I'll post some pictures... talking about hand, my fingers are all swollen... should I scan my fingers in?


Notice the redness all over, and my right fingers are bigger than the left ones...

There was a group of cute girls dancing but I didn't have the chance to watch them, cause Shuhui was there already... we went Coffee Bean after that for a talk...

After so long, finally couldn't stand that out of tune key... tried to tune the piano myself, but don't have the necessary tools... maybe next time I go band practice I'll bring back a tuning key...

The truth needs so little rehearsal...


Rehearsal again yesterday... no major problems for me this time, was able to play all the rhythms properly... one member wanted to quit the band, so we have a lack of manpower now... heard the MTV band of the year 2004, PugJelly will be performing as well, guess there'll be quite a crowd present...

I just handed in my assignment like 5 days ago, and realised that the next assignment's deadline is 2 weeks later!! I wonder how early I'll start doing this time... One of my assignment is to find a Java game and do some simple modifications... anyone knows where to get some simple Java games?

耽誤

Delay is preferable to error...


Things aren't going as smoothly as I thought... due to some unforeseen circumstances, my schedule for the things to do was jumbled up... what I wanted to complete today was replaced by a bigger project... I thought I had finished that "bigger" project until when I posted it on this blog and realised, "What the hell is this?!?" back to the drawing board... literally... there's another smaller project, but it seems not visible anymore so I'll have to drop it... that "middle-sized" project would have to wait a while more...

Arggh... I'm not procrastinating, I just kept being delayed...

Ocean of serenity...


The feeling of having something to hand in is so great... A few days ago, I was still worried whether I'll be able to finish the asignment on time, so I asked a few friends to send me their assignments to hasten my job... honestly, I have no intention of copying their work, I just want to know the scope and depth of the answers... There's this guy who said he'll send me his but kept on delaying... in the end I finished earlier than him, so I sent him mine instead... and another one who helped me the most, I think he's still typing now... he overslept and by the time he woke up, I've already handed in my work...

No more worries for a few days... played a game of 大富翁 with my brother, it's a monopoly type of game, and I lost!!! man... guess I'm just not as scheming as he is...

The picture I was thinking of drawing would be delayed, not easy to draw leh... but I have something else coming up soon, most probably by tomorrow... come back yar?

Finally... finished everything already, just need to go school and print it, hope I don't forget to bring the cover pages... think I should prepare them now...

Done... Am I a genius or what? They gave me one month to do the assignment and I finished it within 4 days... haha!! erm... don't think I want a repeat of this anymore, stayed up until 2.30 this morning to do it, that's my personal record man... never stayed up so late to do work before... maybe I'll start my assignments earlier this time, 6 days in advance? heh...

I'll be able to start my drawing today so it'll probably be done by tomorrow... stay tuned...

All things end somehow...


Finished one assignment in the morning, now doing the last one: E-biz... Still doing this question on a typical set of guidelines for designing good web sites, so while I was typing I edited my blog as well... Not much changes on the surface, just some code optimization... Something on my mind that I wanna draw and add to the background, but no time at the moment... Friday maybe?

Ok, back to work...

Still waiting for my friends to send me their assignments, need some hints to get my brain thinking... so lazy... haiz...

There was band practice yesterday, the organizer for the show came to finalize timings and requirements... show is on next Saturday, 12 march, 1400hrs, Youth Park, Free Admission... I've asked the band director to get a video cam so maybe i'll be able to send some videos to our friend down there...

Band Leader asked me to play a new rhythm and I got it confused with my original one, in the end I wasn't able to play either... I was acting like an idiot with psychomotor problem until after much struggling, I managed to recall my original rhythm and later on the new rhythm albeit not perfected... hopefully I wouldn’t have this problem by the next rehearsal...Still no email... maybe I’ll start work tomorrow? SLACKER...

It always starts somewhere...

Da asked me to start a blog so here it is… I should be doing my assignment instead of typing this, so it is just a short one… assignment is due the day after tomorrow and I haven’t quite started yet, I predict sleepless nights in the next 2 days…
